Your current job simply cannot be worse than this.Lehigh Carbon Community College is located in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. State and federal mandates at the height of the pandemic were ignored, including Pennsylvania’s mandate of “telework mandatory unless impossible.” It was not impossible, but if you aren’t at your desk, you aren’t working at LCCC.ĭiversity, equity and inclusion is non-existent among faculty and staff, despite the empty and shallow attempts to use population based designations to recruit more diverse students.Īll of this is to say, until the current president retires, avoid LCCC at all costs. Despite concerns from multiple employees to HR (who report directly to the president), no flexibility was given to address the health and safety of staff (faculty have been home since March of 2020 and haven't returned to campus for the most part). In a unilateral decision from the president, we were brought back to the office full-time in July of 2020, during the height of COVID-19, with no work from home policy or option to work from home if uncomfortable. Despite the pattern of double digit resignations from key positions over the past 2 years, they have taken no action to address the root of the problem, which is LCCC’s culture. The Board of Trustees is an absentee board, simply put. Her lack of applicable skills as a leader and figurehead make her a micro manager of the highest order, and her constant bullying of subordinates and employees hangs over morale like a dark cloud. The President of the college has fostered a culture of combativeness, pettiness, lack of care for employees and divisiveness, all while making decision after decision that will eventually lead to the downfall of the institution. Simply put, LCCC's culture is the worst I have ever experienced. ![]() I'm not sure Glassdoor's character limit will allow me to list all of the cons. ![]()
